CHICAGO, July 6, 2010—The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) on Wednesday will hold news conferences across Illinois to alert Land of Lincoln consumers that the recently passed Illinois Telecommunications Act has frozen the low prices of three often-overlooked local calling plans that could help them save nearly $200 a year.

The AT&T Consumer’s Choice plans, which were created as part of a legal settlement, were designed by CUB to fit the needs of the average Illinois caller.
