School Education Program
Northern Illinois Energy Project is developing two educational programs that
teach children about energy conservation. Both programs give students the tools
to make their homes, schools and communities more energy efficient.
PEAK Student Energy Actions Program
NIEP is working with The Energy Coalition to implement its “PEAK” energy
efficiency curriculum in a select group of Northern Illinois public schools.
This program provides teacher training and classroom materials to educate
students about energy issues and build a resource efficiency ethic in
our youth.
