Going Electric: On the Road and in Your Home

The Cook County Department of Environment & Sustainability and Citizens Utility Board will discuss beneficial electrification through electric vehicles (EV) and building decarbonization. Learn about the benefits of EVs and find out how some common myths about EVs are not telling the full story with Kate Carney, Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability’s Community Outreach Coordinator. Cynthia Segura, Carbon Free Buildings Coordinator at the Citizens Utility Board (CUB) will talk about building electrification, the next big fight facing us now that the Climate & Equitable Jobs Act (CEJA) has passed. She’ll also be ready to answer questions about CEJA implementation, solar, and current utility programs designed to help customers save money and energy. Q&A to follow.
