10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18: 47th Ward Eco Fest
Stop by CUB’s table to get energy efficiency tips during this outdoor event at Welles Park (2333 W. Sunnyside Ave, Chicago). The Eco Fest will inform residents about ways they can take action for the environment. It’s hosted by the 47th Ward Youth and Green Councils, the Welles Park Greening Committee and Welles Park.
6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 21: A Consumer’s Guide to Going Solar
Join CUB and the Bellwood Public Library for a virtual presentation on solar basics, including: why now is the best time yet to go solar, how solar panels work with your home and the power grid and what state and federal incentives are available.
