6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 2: Cook County Solar Power Hour

Thinking about going solar? Join us for a virtual Solar Power Hour from the comfort of your couch! You’ll learn about the basics of solar, its financial implications for a household, and how the Grow Solar Chicagoland solar group-buy program secures discounts for participants. 1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7: Navigating Solar Options

Join CUB and Chicago Ald. Matt O’Shea for a virtual presentation to learn more about the benefits of Solar for All and community solar, how to participate in  these programs, and consumer tips to know before diving in. Register here.

7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 7: Elmhurst Cool Cities Power Hour

If you can’t make the first Solar Power Hour of the month, here is a second opportunity to learn more about Grow Solar Chicagoland and its volume discounts on panels. Register for the virtual meeting here. 

6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, June 9: Understanding Cable and Reducing Robocalls with CUB

Join CUB and  Chicago Ald. Matt O’Shea for a virtual presentation on your cable options and reducing robocalls. During this event, a CUB representative will discuss ways to cut your cable costs and the different choices in the TV market. Register here.

6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, June 9: Palatine Cool Cities Solar Power Hour

If you prefer in-person events, here is a THIRD opportunity to learn more about Grow Solar Chicagoland. Join CUB at the Palatine Public Library (700 N North Ct, Palatine, IL 60067) to learn about solar energy and find out if it may be right for your home or business! 

6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 15: Energy Efficiency and Understanding Your Bills

Join CUB, the Cook County Department of Environment and Sustainability and the North Riverside Library for a virtual presentation on traditional home energy savings as well as information on solar energy. Note: When CUB has the registration information, we will share it in this blog. 

10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18: 47th Ward Eco Fest

Stop by CUB’s table to get energy efficiency tips during this outdoor event at Welles Park (2333 W. Sunnyside Ave, Chicago). The Eco Fest will inform residents about ways they can take action for the environment. It’s hosted by the 47th Ward Youth and Green Councils, the Welles Park Greening Committee and Welles Park.

6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, June 21: A Consumer’s Guide to Going Solar 

Join CUB and the Bellwood Public Library for a virtual presentation on solar basics, including: why now is the best time yet to go solar, how solar panels work with your home and the power grid and what state and federal incentives are available. 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Monday, June 27: Community Solar Presentation

Join CUB for a free, virtual presentation to learn more about the benefits of community solar and how to participate. CUB is holding this event with Ludato Si’ Ministries of the Joliet Diocese, St. Francis of Assisi Laudato Si’ Ministries and Creation Care Team of Elizabeth Seton. Register here.
