10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, July 11: Schaumburg Township Utility Bill Clinic
CUB and Schaumburg Township (1 Illinois Blvd, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169) are hosting a free event to advise residents on reducing electric, gas, and both landline and cellphone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills.
7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 12: Clean Energy and Solar in Illinois
Join CUB and Warrenville Public Library for a free presentation about solar and clean energy policy in Illinois. During this presentation, a CUB representative will discuss the difference between rooftop and community solar and the latest on solar funding opportunities and programs around the state. 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, July 18: CUB Presentation on Community Solar
Join CUB for a free, virtual presentation to learn more about the benefits of community solar and how to participate. CUB is holding this event with 350Kishwaukee, REACT, and the League of Women Voters Dekalb County. Register here.
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 23: Chicago Mobile City Hall
Join CUB at Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia’s Mobile City Hall, where community resources and city departments are brought directly to residents who are unable to commute downtown. CUB will have a table providing information on energy efficiency and your options in the gas and electric markets. This event will take place at McKinley Park (2210 W Pershing Rd, Chicago, IL 60609). We will be part of another Mobile City Hall at the end of the month. See below.
1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Monday, July 25: Energy Savings with CUB
Join CUB and the Peru Public Library (1409 11th St., Peru, IL 61354) for a free presentation on saving money on your energy bills. Get the latest on Illinois energy policy and how it impacts you and learn how to decode your gas and electric bills.
4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 27: Utility Bill Clinic with State Senator Scott Bennett (Part 1)
CUB and state Sen. Bennett are hosting a free in-person event to advise residents on reducing electric, gas, and both landline and cellphone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. This event will take place at The Urbana Free Library (210 W. Green St, Urbana, IL 61801). Sen. Bennett has scheduled a second clinic for the next day. You can attend either event–see below.
4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28: Utility Bill Clinic with State Senator Scott Bennett (Part 2)
This is part two of the utility bill clinic series with state Sen. Bennett. This event will take place at the Danville Public Library (319 N Vermilion St, Danville, IL 61832). You can attend either event.
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 30: Chicago Mobile City Hall
CUB will have a table at this Mobile City Hall event at Jackson Park (6401 S Stony Is Ave, Chicago, IL 60637).
