Thinking about going solar? Join us for a virtual Solar Power Hour from the comfort of your couch! 5:00 – 6:00 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 4: CUB Summer Series: CUB Renter’s Guide
CUB launched a Summer Series of virtual events as a response to an unprecedented spike in energy prices. During this virtual presentation, a CUB specialist will walk through the newly-released CUB Renter’s Guide. 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 6: State Representative Anna Moeller’s Annual Senior Fair
CUB will have its own table at state Rep. Anna Moeller’s annual senior fair. Stop by our table for information on cutting your utility bills and energy efficiency. This event will take place at the Dundee Township Park District Adult Activities Center (665 Barrington Ave, Carpentersville, IL 60110).
10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13: Back to School Fair & Community Mercado
Find CUB’s table–filled with tips on how to cut your utility bills–at the Back to School Fair & Community Mercado hosted by state Rep. Will Guzzardi and state Sen. Cristina Pacione-Zayas. This event will take place at Kelvyn Park (4438 W Wrightwood Ave, Chicago, IL 60639).
7:00 – 9:00 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15: Virtual Utility Bill Clinic with Blue Island Public Library
CUB and the Blue Island Public Library are hosting a free virtual event to advise residents on reducing electric, gas and both landline and cellphone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. Register here.
2:00 – 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16: Back to School event with State Representative Kam Buckner
CUB will have its own table at the Back to School event hosted by state Rep. Buckner and Meridian Health Community Affairs. Stop by our table for information on cutting your utility bills and energy efficiency. This event will take place at Ellis Park (3520 S Cottage Grove Ave, Chicago, IL 60653).
6:00 – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 17: CUB Summer Series: Virtual Utility Bill Clinic

4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 18: Chicago Mobile City Hall
Join CUB at Chicago City Clerk Anna Valencia’s Mobile City Hall, where community resources and city departments are brought directly to residents who are unable to commute downtown. CUB will have a table providing information on energy efficiency and your options in the gas and electric markets. This event will take place at Marquette Park (6743 S Kedzie Ave, Chicago, IL 60629). 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 25: Understanding Cable and Reducing Robocalls with CUB
Join CUB and the Worth Public Library District (6917 W 111th St, Worth, IL 60482) for an in-person presentation on your cable options and reducing robocalls. During this event, a CUB representative will discuss ways to cut your cable costs and the different choices in the TV market. Please contact the library at 708-448-2855 to register.
