CUB’s money-saving events in February

February may be the shortest month of the year, but there’s still plenty of time to improve your energy efficiency and reduce your utility bills. Below are the free events CUB is offering throughout the state this month. We hope to see you at an event in the near future.

1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 15: The CUB Electric Vehicle Buyer’s Handbook (in-person)

Join CUB and the Lansing Public Library (2750 Indiana Ave, Lansing, IL 60438) for a free, in-person presentation focused on electric vehicles (EVs). During this presentation, a CUB representative will walk through the newly-released CUB EV Buyer’s Handbook! Attend this event to learn tips and tricks designed to ensure you’re a better EV shopper. 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 16: Utility Bill Savings with CUB (virtual)

Join CUB and the Flossmoor Public Library for a virtual presentation on energy savings. Learn about consumer protections, the latest Illinois policies and how they will impact you, and how to decode your gas and electric bills. Register here. 

6:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21: Your Energy-Smart Home: Decarbonization 101 (virtual)

Join CUB and the Evanston Public Library for a virtual presentation on how to save money, make your home more comfortable, and reduce your carbon footprint. You’ll learn about the benefits of building electrification, building decarbonization and new tax credits and rebates for home energy improvements available through the historic federal energy legislation, the Inflation Reduction Act. 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 23: Cable Options and Reducing Robocalls (virtual)

Join CUB and the Reddick Public Library for a virtual presentation on your TV options and reducing robocalls. During this event, a CUB representative will discuss ways to cut your cable costs and the different choices in the TV market. Zoom registration to come.
