Upcoming CUB events in March 2022

Happy March everyone, spring is just around the corner and hopefully milder weather translates to lower gas bills. 

Below you will find several events that can help you improve energy efficiency at home and protect your bottom line. We hope to see you there.

4:30 – 6:30 p.m., Thursday, March 10: Utility Bill Clinic with the Village of Mount Prospect

CUB and the Village of Mount Prospect are hosting a free event to advise residents on reducing electric, gas and both landline and cellphone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. This event will take place on a first come, first served basis at the Community Connections Center (1711 W. Algonquin Rd, Mt Prospect, IL 60056).

1:00 – 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 15: Home Energy Savings with CUB

Join CUB and Ald. Matt O’Shea, of Chicago’s 19th Ward, for a webinar focusing on saving money, and making your home more comfortable. During the event, we will cover free programs designed to save you energy, the latest Illinois energy policies and more. Register for the virtual webinar here.

5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 15: Virtual Utility Bill Clinic 

CUB and Ald. Derrick Curtis, of Chicago’s 18th Ward, are hosting a free virtual utility bill clinic for tips on reducing electric, gas and both landline and cellphone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to discuss their bills in a private and secure video call. Register here

10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Monday, March 21: Hoffman Estates Utility Bill Clinic

CUB and Schaumburg Township are hosting a free event to advise residents on reducing electric, gas and both landline and cellphone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. This event will take place on a first come, first served basis at the Schaumburg Township Offices (1 Illinois Boulevard, Hoffman Estates, IL 60169).

7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 22: Telecom webinar with South Holland Public Library

Join CUB and the South Holland Public Library for a free webinar about understanding telecom bills and exploring your cable, phone and internet options. Learn how to cut costs. Register here

5:30 – 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 30: Utility Bill Clinic with State Rep. Mark Walker 

CUB and state Rep. Mark Walker are hosting a free event to advise residents on reducing electric, gas and both landline and cell phone bills. Each participant will speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor to review their bills. The format of this event (in-person vs. virtual) is still being determined.
