Good news for Nicor and ComEd customers–through the end of August, you can get a home energy audit for just $49!
The home energy assessments, which normally cost $99 through the joint Nicor/ComEd Home Energy Savings program, provide services which could cost up to $500 elsewhere.
The program provides an assessment of a single-family home and includes:
- Free installation of energy-saving products like compact fluorescent lightbulbs (CFLs) and energy-efficient shower heads.
- Installation of a programmable thermostat for just $23.
- A customized Home Energy Savings report showing ways you can save up to 20 percent on your home energy usage.
- Instant rebates of 50 percent off (up to $1,250) for energy-efficiency improvements such as insulation and duct sealing.
