With 56 votes, Electric Avenue led the way, easily beating out the second and third place entries,(22 votes), and (21 votes).
Marilyn Hearns, a second grade teacher from Richton Park, won CUB’s top prize.
“I’m in a state of shock,” she said (no pun intended). “I never win anything! You have just made my day.”
Although Marilyn’s name was randomly chosen as the winner of the free electricity, she didn’t vote for the winning video. Her pick for best energy song:. Not only does she love the song, but she believes in the message.
“It’s something I always say to my kids. And as a teacher, it’s something I tell my students too,” she said.
