Last Chance: Photo Challenge (100-dollar top prize!)

Last chance to win $100!

Reminder: You have until midnight, Saturday, Sept. 7 to enter CUB’s 35th Anniversary Photo Challenge. It’s super-easy to enter—and you could win $100!

Just snap a photo with this CUB poster. You can include family members, like your kids or grandkids, a favorite family pet—or even an Illinois landmark. Or maybe just take a few seconds for a selfie. (Just make sure to include the CUB poster in the photo.)

We encourage you to be creative, clever, cute and funny (just keep it positive and clean, and be safe).

We’ll judge the best submissions and display them on our blog and in the next CUB Voice—and we will randomly select one submission for a $100 top prize!

Participants must be 18 years of age or older, and be an Illinois resident. The deadline to enter is midnight Sept. 7, 2019. See full terms and conditions.

Submit your photos in ONE of three ways:

  • By mail (postmarked by Sept. 7):
    Citizens Utility Board
    attn: CUB Photo Challenge
    309 W. Washington, Suite 800
    Chicago, IL 60606
  • By email: [email protected]
(Include “CUB Photo Challenge” in the subject line.)
  • On Instagram: Post your photo and make sure to tag CUB (@cubillinois).

We look forward to seeing your photos with the CUB poster!

Big consumer victory!
Gov. J.B. Pritzker has signed the HEAT Act, one of the nation’s strongest laws against electric and gas rip-offs. This is a major victory, and it shows our hard work is paying off. Thanks for your support! Read our statement, and our blog on the new law.

New CUB cable guide
Don’t forget to order CUB’s new and improved Guide to Cutting Your TV Costs. It’s FREE.

P.S. WARNING: A new study shows that an upcoming FERC ruling could be even worse for our electric bills than we thought: $864 million a year in higher costs for northern Illinois consumers. (Our previous estimate was $500 million a year.) Please read our Q&A, and get ready to fight.
