Join CUB and Bolingbrook’s Fountaindale Public Library for a free webinar about cable options and reducing robocalls. A CUB representative will discuss choices in the TV market, ways to cut cable costs, streaming services available to consumers and how to avoid common robocall scams. Bring current copies of electric, gas, cable and landline/cellphone bills and speak one-on-one with a CUB counselor who can review them, answer questions and give money-saving tips. Join CUB, Prairie Rivers Network, Faith in Place and Sierra Club at University Place Christian Church (403 S. Wright St., Champaign, IL., 61820) to discuss the proposed Clean and Healthy Buildings Act. The act aims to reduce hazardous emissions in our homes and lower energy costs by requiring gas utilities to achieve zero emissions by 2050, updating energy efficiency standards and preventing wasteful spending on the gas system.
