ComEd’s Hourly Pricing program 20151104_HourlyPricing_enews

ComEd’s Hourly Pricing charges an hourly rate that reflects naturally fluctuating electricity prices. If you can delay your heaviest electricity usage to the times of day when prices are low (for example, late at night or early in the morning), you could save big!

In fact, Hourly Pricing participants have saved an average of about 15 percent on electricity supply compared with ComEd’s fixed rate.

Ameren Illinois’ Power Smart Pricing 20151104_HourlyPricingAmeren_enews

Power Smart Pricing also charges an hourly rate that varies from hour to hour and day to day based on the market price for electricity.  Once again, if you can delay heavy electricity usage to times when prices naturally drop— late at night or early in the morning, for instance— you can potentially lower your bill.

Since the program began, Power Smart Pricing participants have saved an average of about 15 percent on electricity supply compared with Ameren Illinois’ fixed rate.
