A horrible bill in Washington

201602018_ProtectInternet_enewsCan you believe this? Some members of Congress seem to want consumers to stop complaining about Internet service.

H.R. 2666, also known as the “No Rate Regulation of Broadband Internet Access Act,” could forbid the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) from acting on customer complaints about billing errors, data caps, overage fees and any other pricing schemes that could cause your Internet bills to skyrocket.

Make no mistake: H.R. 2666 is the latest attempt by the Big Cable/Telecom companies to undermine historic net neutrality rules that help protect us from unjust or unreasonable prices and practices.

Internet prices are already too high and consumers have too few choices  Now, we’re being told to keep quiet about it?  Something’s wrong with this picture.

The bill recently moved to the full House Energy and Commerce Committee.

Now is the time to send a message to Congress:  Say NO to H.R. 2666!
